White-label Telco partner Avea launches messaging solution from the cloud to SMEs in Turkey.
Avea, affiliate of Turk Telekom and leading mobile operator in Turkey for corporate clients lunched its new cloud services today, in partnership with regional cloud services provider Central Europe On-Demand, delivering Microsoft technology-based messaging and communication tools to its SME customers.
Thanks to the new cloud services, customers will be able to access either web or mobile mail services with Microsoft Hosted E-Mail. Besides Exchange and Outlook, the company is planning to introduce integrated communication solution Microsoft Office Communication Server with Live Meeting, and collaboration tool SharePoint to its small and medium sized enterprise (SME) customers primarily.
Within the new project SMEs will have the opportunity to enjoy office experience on mobile devices without making any capital investments. The Microsoft Exchange 2010-based messaging solution from the cloud enables users to receive and manage all their business or private email addresses from a single mailbox, using the familiar and user-friendly Outlook interface. This service can be accessed from any mobile device with an ActiveSync software.

In the speech given at the press launch of the service, indicating that SMEs needs to benefit from technology more efficiently to survive, grow and open to the world, Avea CEO Erkan Akdemir said: “We know that only 15% of our SMEs use information technologies today and more than half of them don’t even have e-mails. This shows how important it is to introduce the benefits of cloud technology to SMEs.
