It’s an intense, around-the-clock operation. Our lifeguards are on duty 24/7, providing emergency response at 42 locations around Lake Balaton and all across the country. We perform ten lifeguard courses a year and reach more than a hundred schools with our preventive lectures, with most of our staff working on a volunteer basis.

Hungarian Water Rescue Service, long-standing client of CE On-Demand, has been recognised by the EuroCloud Europe Awards 2012 as one of top 3 cloud users in Europe based on organisational impact and productivity gains.

Hungarian Water Rescue Service, which has been using messaging, collaboration and communication services from CE On-Demand since 2010, was elected Best Cloud User at EuroCloud Awards Hungary earlier this year. During that same event, CE On-Demand’s in-house developed provisioning and administrative platform, the Cloud Services Manager™ was awarded for having the Strongest International Impact while Telenor Hungary, a major go-to-market partner of CE On-Demand, received the first prize for the Best Cloud Services Business Case.

Hungarian Water Rescue Service is the only Hungarian EuroCloud Award winner which is shortlisted among the finalists of the EuroCloud Europe Awards 2012. The final winners will be revealed across five categories. The international jury is made up of twelve independent cloud experts from twelve different European nations. Hungary is represented in the jury by Tamás Klotz, CIO of Hungarian Post.

The awards gala is part of the EuroCloud Europe Congress taking place on 8-9th October, where decision makers, cloud experts and government professionals from all over Europe will discuss the European and global impact of the fast-evolving cloud computing industry. CE On-Demand’s Founder and CCO, Viktor Kovacs will also participate at the EuroCloud Congress, sharing the company’s experiences in delivering cloud brokerage services to telecommunication service providers and systems integrators in the region.

Sándor Bagyó, President of Hungarian Water Rescue Service said: “It is an honour to be recognised by the EuroCloud organisation for the way we use IT and innovation to help us deliver life-saving and support services to the Hungarian people. Our service is a mission-critical, highly-visible, 24/7 service where failure to deliver is not an option. The introduction of cloud-based IT services to our organisation has delivered tremendous productivity gains, as well as tangible impact to the efficiency of our service delivery, with the results being more lives saved on Hungarian waters. I would like to thank CE On-Demand for their vision, innovation, reliability, and support in transforming our IT and as a result our general operating model. This effort has already made us an example of productivity and operational excellence in the field of Emergency Services. Thanks to this nomination by EuroCloud, we can be recognised in a cross-discipline, pan-European context as well.”
