Neostratus wins EuroCloud Award

CE On-Demand won EuroCloud Award yesterday!

First EuroCloud Day was held yesterday in 14 European countries of EuroCloud member associations, including Hungary. After local and international speeches and roundtables about the cloud computing industry, the Hungarian EuroCloud Awards were also announced. CE On-Demand’s in-house developed provisioning and administrative platform, the Cloud Services Manager™ won an award for the “Strongest International Impact”.

EuroCloud is the largest and fastest growing ICT association in Europe which focuses on cloud computing. In the past two years, 27 countries have established a EuroCloud presence. EuroCloud Day 2012 was the first pan-European EuroCloud event organized in 14 countries simultaneously, with online speeches streamed through web conferencing.

In Hungary, participants discussed in roundtables the approach of the public sector to cloud computing, investigated cloud entrepreneurship and investment opportunities, while the winners of the EuroCloud Award talked about cloud innovation and success stories.

Zoltán Komáromi, Managing Director of IDC Hungary said, that “Hungarian cloud providers are ahead in the region, in terms of innovation and growth prospect.” Imre Hild, Director of the European Entrepreneurship Foundation Budapest Chapter also called Budapest as the “cloud hub”. However, as roundtable participants agreed, there have been too much talk and too little action yet on cloud strategy in the country, so immediate action is needed as financial situation is favourable: EU funds are available for cloud services innovation and development; however more public sector cloud services adoption is required.

CE On-Demand’s cloud enablement product, the Cloud Services Manager™ (CSM) won a EuroCloud award for having the “Strongest International Impact”. CSM is the company’s in-house developed, fully customizable cloud platform, allowing quick and easy services provisioning and administration for partners and customers. CSM is currently in use by 27 partners of CE On-Demand in 15 countries throughout Europe.

Telenor Hungary, a strategic partner of CE On-Demand won the “Best Business Case – Commercial Sector” Award and a CE On-Demand customer, the Hungarian Water Rescue Services won an award for “Best Cloud User”, showcasing their adoption of cloud services to manage a mission-critical rescue service across the country.

Viktor Kovács, Founder and CCO of CE On-Demand said: “We develop innovative cloud services and products for an international audience, aiming to build a European cloud ecosystem through our strategic partnerships with telecommunication operators. We are pleased and proud that the jury of the EuroCloud Award has recognised our company’s strong track record of international expansion.”
